This is a necessity for any aquarium, How do you know your heater is working if you can't see the thermometer? Thermometers allow you to see an accurate temperature in your tank. This can help reflect what temperature your heater needs to be set to. (Due to external factors, some heaters may need to heat at higher temperatures to provide an accurate and stable temperature reading.) 

The adequate temperature safe zone for tropical fish is labelled on the thermometer.

This is either a temperature strip or an internal suction thermometer. (Displayed in °C)

** Please note the "internal suction" provides more accurate readings as it is not displayed to the external air **
