Red Cherry Shrimp are a great addition to any tank, especially smaller ones! They are quite hardy but can be a bit sensitive when there is an increase or decrease in water quality, such as large water changes. Due to this, they are best kept in smaller and heavily planted tanks that can withstand a year with an average of 5 water changes. I would recommend keeping them with fish such as bettas! They live for 1-2 years and make great nano tank creatures!
Tank Requirements:
- 2L to accommodate 3 shrimp, and add an extra 1L for each other shrimp
- They prefer medium-sized tanks that are both equally tall and long
- They like a temperature of 21°C - 27°C
- pH of 6.5ppm - 8ppm
- Some great tank mates include Bettas and snails.
