Christmas Moss (Vesicularia montagnei) is a beautiful and versatile aquatic moss, renowned for its distinctive layered growth that resembles miniature Christmas trees. Its dense, vibrant green fronds create a lush, natural appearance, making it a favourite among aquascapers for nature style aquariums, shrimp tanks and breeding setups.

The Large PlantPod Can contains a more generous portion, making it ideal for larger aquascapes, covering driftwood and rocks, or creating thick moss walls and carpets. Christmas Moss naturally attaches to hardscape, forming soft cascading layers that provide excellent shelter for shrimp, fry and other small aquatic species. It thrives under low to medium lighting and does not require CO₂, although supplementation will encourage faster, denser growth.

The sealed transparent can contains a specialised aquatic solution that maintains plant health, allowing plants to be shipped safely without the need for water-filled bags or specialised freight.

Instructions

• Remove the ring pull to open the PlantPod™.

• Carefully remove the plant from the tube.

• Place directly into your aquarium—there is no need to rinse before use.

• Attach to driftwood, rocks or mesh using aquarium-safe thread or glue if desired.

• Discard the PlantPod™ solution after opening.

💡 Tip: The larger portion is perfect for creating mature-looking aquascapes immediately, with enough moss to cover multiple pieces of hardscape.
