Suitable for freshwater, marine and planted aquariums, Quartz Rings fit most external canister filters, sump systems and internal filters with media chambers. They are an excellent choice for both new aquarium setups and upgrading existing filtration systems.

Instructions

• Rinse gently with aquarium water before first use to remove any loose dust.

• Place the Quartz Rings into a filter media bag or directly into your filter's biological media chamber.

• Position after mechanical filtration for optimal performance.

• When cleaning, rinse only in removed aquarium water to preserve beneficial bacteria. Never rinse with untreated tap water.

💡 Tip: For the best biological filtration, avoid replacing all filter media at once. Clean or replace media gradually to maintain a stable colony of beneficial bacteria.

Please Note: Biological filtration takes time to establish. Allow several weeks for beneficial bacteria to colonise the media fully. For best results, use alongside a quality water conditioner and monitor ammonia and nitrite levels when establishing a new aquarium.
