Guppiesare a great addition to any tank! These guys are colourful and quite playful little fish that can be tankmates with anything that won't eat them! They only get up to about 2.5 cm-4 cm. These guys are livebearers meaning they don't lay eggs! livebearers are notorious (especially guppies) for pumping out lots of babies in short periods of time, 20-100 babies every 20-30 days! If you wish to prevent this please ensure you select only one particular sex of fish to avoid this! They live for 1-3 years and make great nano tank fish!
Tank Requirements:
- 20L to accommodate three guppies, and add an extra 5L for each other fish
- They prefer longer tanks compared to taller ones
- They like a temperature of 22°C - 29°C
- pH of 7ppm - 8ppm
- Some great tank mates include Corydoras Catfish, Colombian Tetras and Platies
- Always ensure that you do your research before purchasing any aquatic fish, so you can ensure you tick all necessary boxes
