Volcanic Laterite - AquaNatural (Oliver Knott)

Plant Laterite is a premium mineral rich planted aquarium substrate designed by world renound aquascaper, Oliver Knott, to promote healthy root development and vigorous aquatic plant growth. Rich in natural clay and essential minerals, it can be used as a nutrient-rich base layer beneath substrates such as AquaEarth, Scoria or Iron Sand, or as a stand-alone substrate for planted aquariums.

Its porous structure encourages beneficial bacteria while supplying nutrients directly to plant roots, making it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquascapers.

Instructions

• Lightly rinse before use (do not over wash).
• Spread evenly across the aquarium base and create any desired slopes.
• Fill the aquarium slowly to minimise cloudiness.
• Plant your aquarium and allow the filter to clear the water over the following days.

💡 Tip: Use a plate, plastic bag or newspaper while filling to reduce disturbance and minimise cloudiness.

Please Note: Some temporary cloudiness is normal due to the natural clay content and will settle within a few days.
